Married (1) 1669 at Stamford to Abigail Brewster, daughter of Rev. Nathaniel Brewster of Brookhaven, Long Island. Rev. Brewster's will named his grandchildren Daniel & Abigail Burr. (2) 11 Dec 1678 at New Haven to Abigail Glover, daughter of Henry & Helena Glover.

Inventory and estate of Abigail dated 25 Jan 1721. Probate names her son Samuel; children of dec'd daughter Helena, wife of John Andrews, who were John, Abigail, Helena, Daniel & Ebenezer; children of dec'd daughter Deborah, wife of Joseph Perry who were Sarah, Abigail, Joseph, Daniel & Nathaniel; and Mehitabel's one daughter, Mehitabel Strong.
