George Wathen of Bristol, Gloucestershire was born say 1563. His buried not found. He was living in Bristol, 27 Jun 1629 when his son-in-law Andrew Sargent was discharged as his apprentice. He married at St. Nicholas, Bristol, 9 August 1589, Joyce White, parents unknown.
His whereabouts between 1589-1600, the time when sons William, George, & Edmond were born, are known. By 1600, he was living in the parish of St. Stephen, Bristol.
