Individual Details
Benjamin Sebastian
(Abt 1745 - 1819)
[The ages of Benjamin's children don't seem quite right; I'm sure their birth years are quess-timates.]
Online databases suggest that Benjamin was the son of Stephen Sebastian, b. 3 Mar 1732, St. Paul's Parish, Stafford Co, VA, d. 30 Sep 1785 in Wilkes Co NC and his wife Elizabeth Isaacs. Stephen is thought to have had a brother Isaac. Stephen b. in 1732, could not be the father of Benjamin born ca 1745 - so something is definitely wrong. The previous generation was also a Stephen Sebastian, b. Mar 1651 in England, d. 7 Feb 1734, St. Paul's Parish, Stafford Co. VA - his wife also an Elizabeth, surname not given. Again, the dates - a man born in 1651, having a son born in 1732, although possible, makes very little sense. I have no proof for any of this lineage and, in fact, believe it to be in error.
There was also a Benjamin Sebastian in Kentucky who fought in the War of 1812 and died in the 1830's - he is obviously a different person, but his information has been blended with that of this Benjamin in many databases.
