By 1798, when the slaves of Mary Ann's father were distributed, her allotment was "to Henry Franklin's legatees who are children of Maryann, daughter of the said Aaron Higginbotham dec'd". Obviously at that time Franklin had died and she had no children by Benjamin Arnold. In fact, she was married to Arnold by 1787.

The dates for Mary Ann's Franklin children have apparently come from the "Harrison Bible, Glasgow, KY". I found them in a message board post.
