The Illinois Veterans Index lists Mathew T. Curry, who was mustered in service as a Private, Co. C, 199th Illinois Infantry under Capt. Hamilton for one year on 18 March 1865 in Jacksonville, IL. Mathew was 18. He was mustered out 26 Aug 1865 at Mobile, AL.'He was 5'8" tall, with dark hair and gray eyes. He lived at Richmond, Cass Co, IL.
