Susan Gabbard married Calvin Lynch, 7 May 1861, Estill Co KY. He was age 20; she was age 21, and it was the first marriage for both. Calvin died in the Civil War and within a few months, as Susan Ann Lynch, she married Daniel Lynch. The Lynch males were not kin.

By 1870, a George W. Lynch, age 5, was living with his grandparents, Elijah & Sarah Gabbard. Wm R. Lynch, born about two years before Susan married Daniel lives with them. There is also believed to be a daughter Diana who lived with her Lynch grandparents.

In 1850, Susan was 10, living in Laurel Co with her parents. In 1860, Susan was age 19, in the household of her father Elijah G. Gabbard in Estill Co.

A William Rose Lynch who has a Kentucky Death Certificate, died at Cob Hill in Estill Co, 22 Jul 1952 and gave his date of birth as 11 Aug 1864 in Estill Co. The informant, ? Lynch, a son, stated his parents were Daniel Lynch and Suzanne Gabbard. Since Daniel Lynch had raised William, but he was not his father.
