Individual Details

Joe Ben Blakeney

(24 Nov 1883 - 11 Dec 1971)

Joe was not listed with his parents by 1910. An Ancestry Family Tree with no documentation states his wife was Maybelle Tillman and they married circa 1908.

I found the following in the 1910 Census, which may be Joe:
1910. San Angelo, Tom Green Co, TX, Sheet 12B, Hh 266.

The name has been altered by the enumerator. It was originally Joe B. "Blachen" and has been indexed similarly - written above the crossed out "hen" is "keney" which adds up to "Blackeney". He does give his name as Joe B. and is the right age, 26. He gave his birthplace as Texas but "U. S." is given for his parents. He had been married 1 time for 3 years.
Mabel is the wife, age 25, b. TX, father b. TX, her mother b. MO. She has had 1 child.
