William Irwin, son of Ira Irwin of Woodstock township, has been a resident of Colorado for 3 years, returned here.

Marriage was at the house of William C. Avery on 14 Apr 1878. Thos. P. W. Magruder, M.G. A copy from Marriage book D, 1877-1907, License #6779. William H. Irwin was 28, parents Ira Irwin and Eliza Avery. Cordelia Florence Clements was age 20, her parents, William Clements and Julia A. Angel. William Curry and William C. Avery were the witnesses.

Former Schuylerite died in Paris, Mo. - William H. Irwin, for more than fifty years a resident of Schuyler County, died Dec 26th at his late home in Paris, Mo., aged eighty-one.  Mr. Irwin, eldest child of Ira P. and Eliza Ann Irwin, was born on a farm six miles south-west of Rushville, Nov. 17th, 1851.  Here his early life was spent and he grew to young manhood.  On April 14th, 1878, he was joined in marriage to Cordelia Florence Clements.  To this union were born eleven children, seven of whom, with the wife and mother, survive to morn the loss of loving husband and father.  In the year 1901, Mr. Irwin and family removed to Paris, Mo., where they have since resided.  Early in life he was converted and has ever remained a faithful Christian.  His surviving children are; Mrs. Jessie Tanzey and Mrs. Anna Terrrell, of Paris, Mo.; Mrs. E. E. Simon, of Galva, Iowa; W. W. Irwin, of Gilman, Iowa; Ira P. Irwin, of Netwton of Iowa; Mrs. J. H. Lawton, of New York City.  there are also thirteen grandchildren, three great-grandchildren, two sisters, Mrs. L. E. Bowan, of Beardstown, Ill., and Mrs. Edith Harrison, of Chester, Ark., and one brother, Elmer C. Irwin.  Funeral services were held from the late home on Dec. 28th, Rev. C. F. Richman, Pastor of the Paris Presbyterian Church, officiating.  Burial was made in Walnut Grove Cemetery with funeral rites of Masonic Order at the grave.
