Lewisburg, Dec 1, 1864 5:30 p.m.
Lt. Robert W. Wishard has returned from scout through Perry County; killed 1 lieutenant and 4 men of the enemy. Lot 1 man killed (Provate McGhee, Co C, 3rd Arkansas Cavalry) 1 wounded badly of Co. C. The lieutenant killed belonged to Conly's company. Lt. (Wishard) reports many rebel families as moving South. A. H. Ryan, Colonel, Commanding
