Mrs. Rebecca C. Wishard, wife of Robert Wishard, of Pleasant township, died at her residence west of Greenwood on the 23rd.inst. (sic) She was a native of Kentucky and moved with her parents to this state in 1817, settling in Marion County. In May, 1826, she was married to Robert Wishard and proved a loving, devoted wife during their long and happy union. She was a consistent member of the Methodist church for 57 year, being a firm believer in God and his holy attributes and lived,
a she died, and exemplary Christian woman, exercising an abiding faith in His justice, His mercy and His love. She was in every sense of the terms, a kind, loving wife, an affectionate mother and good neighbor.
