In the 1880 Census I found John Ross, age 34, b. IN; his parents born in Baden; Jane, age 32, b. MO, her father b. Iowa, her mother b. MO; children Clayborne, age 8 and Mary, age 2. Both father and son suffer from Palpitations of the Heart.
