Marriage in Elbert Co: Silas Holtzclaw to Rosannah Stone [sic - see note below]. 4 Feb 1819. p.296 of Georgia Marriages 1816-1824.

Silas Holtzclaw is my 3X grandfather. I ordered a photo copy of the actual marriage record from Elbert County Georgia. The marriage record is a printed or typed form and the names and dates are handwritten. It is very clearly written 3 times as Rosannah Slone. I found on a website where someone had transcribed the Georgia Marriages 1816-1824 and her name was transcribed as Stone. Therefore, several researchers believe her name was Stone, rather than Slone.
