Mary is named on deeds at a time the later wife, Mary Exum, was still married to Isaac Ricks, so apparently Barnaby had two wives named Mary. The first wife Mary, joined in all deeds until sometime in 1714 - no wife then relinquishes dower until September of 1719. Mary (Exum) Ricks which shown to be an unmarried widow as late as 1704 in the Quaker records. It is not known which children belonged to which wife although likely most if not all should be with the first wife. By 1720, most of the ones as listed seemed to have reached their majority and could not have been children of Mary Exum.
