A Methodist Minister. Served in Duxbury, North Attleboro, Norwich, New London, Taunton, Providence, New Bedford. Settled in Providence in 1857.
George's father was said to be Joseph, who was in the War of 1812. That certainly would not be Joseph who married Ann Wickes and was a son of the first William Carpenter in Rhode Island. There are several generation missing in this connection.
