Inherits father's land in Pike County, according to his father's will.
Land Patent issued to Jacob Fry as assignee of Squire Anderson, 10 Dec 1827, in Pike Co. It was a cash sale for 80 acres in Section 24, T 53N, R 2W, the East half of the SE quarter.

There was also a patent issued to William H. Fry on 28 Jul 1838 for 40 acres in Pike Co, located in Section 23, T 53N, R 2W, the NE 1/4 of the NE 1/4. I cannot identify this man. Could this have been a son of Jacob?
A FamilySearch family tree has a son for Jacob, listed as "Harvey" who married in Pike Co MO, in 1857 - but he was born in 1823 and wouldn't have been old enough to patent in 1838.
