This 3rd John Smith was the last to carry the title "Miller" - his son John Smith preceded him in death and was known as John Smith, Fuller. The 4th John Smith's wife's name was Deborah. Her brother was James Angell. Deborah received administration of 4th John Smith's estate 4 Oct 1719.

The Whipple family home page gives this John Smith's wife as Hannah ??? with his date of death as 20 Apr 1737. FamilySearch trees have her as Hannah Howland, daughter of Arthur Howland. Hannah survived her husband some 20 years.

RI Vital Records at Genealogy.com had the following will abstract from the RI Genealogical Register, Vol 13, Abstracts of Providence Wills, p.107:
John Smith of Providence, Miller. Will dated 10 Feb 1724, codicil dated 2 Aug 1734 and proved 21 May 1737. He died 20 Apr 1737, p.301-306. Wife Hannah. Sons: Phillip under 21, William, and Prince who is a small child. Dau: Mercy Burlinggame, Sarah Field and Hannah who is under 18. Granddaughter Martha Smith, under 18. Brother William Smith. Friend John Warren of Warwick. Codicil states that son Phillip is now dead. Wit. to will: Thomas Olney, Daniel Smith, Richard Waterman Jr. Wit. codicil: John Whipple, Jacob Rogers, Neil Danielson.
