There were likely other children born to Henry & Zelota Allen. On p.144 History of Vigo County: "D. C. Allen died at his residence in Prairieton Township, Monday June 30, 1890, aged 62 years. He was a son of Henry Allen, one of the first settlers of this county, and in an early day sheriff of Vigo County."

In 1840, Zelota Allen had 3 males under the age of 10, but none indicated as old as Miron.

Miron D. Allen married Abigail Bush, 14 Feb 1847, W. M. Modesitt, minister.

In the 1850 Vigo Co IN Census, is a "Samuel" Allen, age 55, born in New York married to Zelota, age 50, also born in New York. Child Miron D., born Massachusetts also lives with them with spouse Abigail and a son Frances, age 2, and a daughter Florence E. age 1. The enumerator reversed the sex of the two children.

It also seems to be possible that Miron, born in Massachusetts was the son of Samuel Allen - Zelota's husband by 1850 - not Henry's son at all.
