Luke Kee, the Chinaman incarcerated in the Claude jail charged with a heinious crime committed in this town some time ago, is to come up before Judge Wallace for trial at the term of court held at Claude next week, his case being called for Monday. The following witnesses have been subpoenaed from here: Mrs. Robert Humphrey, Mrs. M. P. Finnicum, Katie Holderness, Dr. E. W. Tinsley, Dr. R. M. Johnson, Jack Harwell, and Sheriff T. J. Inmon.

Aged Pioneer of Clovis Succumbs
Mrs. Nancy Jane Humphrey, 77, pioneer resident of Clovis, died at 10:05 am today of a complication of ills from which she had suffered for an extended period. She has been seriously ill at her home at 317 Gidding since Sunday.
Johnson Bros. Mortuary was in charge of the body this afternoon. Funeral services will be held from the First Baptist church at 2 o'clock Friday afternoon, with Rev. J. F. Nix, pastor, officiating. He will be assisted by Rev. E. S. Cook, pastor of the First Presbyterian church.
Mrs. Humphrey, born in Sedalia, Missouri, in 1855, moved to Clovis in 1907 from Texas, where she lived since 1884. She was well known in the city.
She is survivied by four daughters, Mrs. Elizabeth Knight of Plainview, Texas; Mrs. Ina Finnicum, of Clifton, Colorado; Mrs. Jet Leach, Redwood City, California; Mrs. Eva Reagan of Clovis; two sons, John & Dee Humphrey of Clovis.
