In March of 1889, Robert Humphey, his wife Annie J and daughter Ina Holderness were charter members of the 1st Methodist Church of Hereford, Deaf Smith Co.

Kept a Hotel. 1900 Deaf Smith Co TX Census shows Robert, his wife, 4 single children, his widowed daughter Ina and her 3 children as well as 7 boarders in his household. His boarders were a dentist, a saloon keeper, a ranch laborer, and 4 railroad employees. They had been married 34 years, seven children born, seven children living.

1900 Census stated they had been married 34 years. This probably should have been 30 years. Picture made in Dec of 1920 states that it's their 50th Wedding Anniversary.
