Wade Dyer

Wade enlisted at Capm Zollicoffer, TN on 7 Sep 1861 for one year. He served as a private & sergeat in Company B, 28th TN Infantry REgt, Confederate. The muster roll of 31 Oct 1861 shows he resigned; but the muster roll for 31 Aug 1861 reports him AWOL.

The family moved to Kentucky for about three years but they returned to TN by 1865. In 1876, they again moved to Kentucky but went on to Missouri. Wade remained in New Madrid County, MO but Louisa came back to Putnam Co TN

Wade filed for his pension from the State of TN claiming to have participated in the Fishing Creek Battle, contracting measles & lung trouble. He was disabled and sent home. His desertion charge was ruled out, but his pension was rejected.

Wade & Louisa had fourteen children.
