Eleanor Pickens

Baptized at Stone Church by Rev. John Craig. The date of Baptism is given as 29 Mar 1741 on page 4; the date of her birth as 1746 on page 12. They cannot both be correct - perhaps she was baptized in 1747.
Eleanor and Joseph were first cousins.
The widow Eleanor requested reimbursement from the State of South Carolina for her husband's duty in the Militia as Captain, for wagon hire in Col. Anderson's Wagon Service in 1779 and 1780, 376 days, and a bay mare lost in July 1781. Total of 335 pounds, 18 shillings, 6 pence. She was paid and also received 23 pounds, 10 shillings, and 4 pence for interest. The Certificate was cashed and used to purchase 200 acres of land by Andrew Pickens. Final payments received 14 Aug 1787.
