William E. "Gene" Carney Sr, 77, of Fort Smith, Arkansas died Wednesday, July 31, 1991 at a local hospital.
He was self-employed in the carpet/floor covering business, a former resident of Rudy, a member of First Freewill Baptist Church of Fort Smith and a member of Carpenters Local Union 71.
Survivors at the time of his death are his wife, Juanita, three daughters, four sons, a sister, seven grandchildren, and a great-grandchild.
Funeral services were held on Friday at First Freewill Baptist Church of Fort Smith with burial at Gill Cemetery.
Pallabearers were his grandsons. Memorials may be made to the American Cancer Society.
