Gladys Chamberlin Lichten, 72, of Orem, died Dec. 23, 1989, at the Utah Valley Regional Medical Center in Provo.
She was born May 24, 1917 in Queens, NY, a daughter of Joseph L. and Kate Chamberlin. She married William J. Lichten, Apr 14, 1939, in St. Albana, NY. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary last April.
She spent most of her life in New York, moving to Utah from Long Island in 1983... She was a member of the LDS Church.... She loved children, raising numerous foster children.
Survivors include her husband of Orem; three daughters, Nancy Alder, Judy Miller, both of Orem; Anjum Malone, Arizona; six grandchildren and one sister, Florence Jackson, Orem. She was preceded in death by a son Jimmy, a grandson Clayton, her parents and three brothers....
Burial will be in the Orem city Cemetery.
