Robert Marion “Bob” Hensley was born on April 24, 1929 in Tulsa, OK to Marion Joseph Hensley and Nanny (Sanders) Hensley. Bob passed from this life on Saturday, October 31, 2015 at the age of 86.
He received his Bachelor’s degree from Tulsa University and retired from Texaco as a Certified Public Accountant in the payroll department. He honorably served in the United States Marine Corps and was stationed on the USS ANTIETUM.
Bob was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty Bass. He is survived by his wife, Nickie, of the home; his sons, Robert “Bobby” Hensley of Tulsa, Joel Hensley of Sand Springs and his daughter Deeanna Rice of Sand Springs; a step-son, Pat Hall, of Tulsa and step-daughters, Anne Stevens, of Minnesota and Josie Moen of Fargo, ND; a brother, David Hensley of Sapulpa and a host of grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Service 2:00 P.M. Friday Memorial Park Cemetery Chapel followed by military rites conducted at the graveside.
He attended Berry Hill and Tulsa Daniel Webster High Schools and graduated from Webster in 1947
