Indenture 8th March 1748 between Peter Noland and Ann his wife, Philip Noland and Elizabeth his wife, Pearce Noland and Sary his wife , and Paul Noland and Mary Nolan of County of Fairfax of one part and Francis Elzey of sam for sum of five shillings sterling … sell land on the Tuskarora branch of Goose Creek containing 236 acres being two full third parts of a larger tract of land granted to George Slater of Prince William County …he sold unto Philip Noland late of said County of Prince William, who by his last will and testament did give and devise same to Peter, Philip, Pearce and to Mary, the other third part... having been purchased of them by Thomas Moxley...
