Found a death listing with the early Missouri Death Records online. Olive Chamberlain died 9 Feb 1898, of Typho-malarial fever. She died in Jackson Co MO [Kansas City], age 21 years.

Mrs. Olive Chamberlain, who is well know[n] in Emporia, died at Kansas City Tuesday evening. Mrs. Chamberlain was the daughter of A.J. Ashley, who lived in Emporia a few years ago. She was a graduate of the High school. She expressed a wish to be buried in Maplewood cemetery. The remains will arrive here tomorrow afternoon at 2 and services will be held at the Baptist church. She is the sister of Mrs. J.H. Jones, who lives near Reading. Her old class mates are requested to attend the funeral in a body.

Olive Ashley Chamberlain Dead.
Everyone in Emporia will remember Miss Olive Ashley, formerly of this city. She was a pupil in the city schools here and would have graduated at the High school in another year had she remained. She went to Chicago to join her parents three years ago, and was married to Joseph L. Chamberlain shortly afterwards. Her beauty, grace and loving disposition was admired by everyone here. She died at her home in Kansas city last Tuesday evening and as it was her desire her remains will be buried at Maplewood tomorrow, Friday afternoon. Services will be held at the Baptist church at 2:30 p.m. Her classmates are especially requested to attedd (sic). A.J. Ashley, her father, was formerly a member of G.A.R. Post No. 55 of this city. The deceased is a sister of Mrs. J.H. Jones.

The funeral of Mrs. Olive Ashley Chamberlain was held at the Baptist church this afternoon and was well attended. The remains were interred in Maplewood cemetery.
