INJUNCTION CASE SET NEXT MONDAY
Judge Wood Will Hear Injunction Proceedings Asked by Prosecutor in the Matter of the R. L. Williams Wagon Yard.
Circuit Judge Wood this morning set Monday, July 24, as the date to hear the injunction asked by Prosecuting Attorney Gibson Witt, which seeks to close the Williams wagon yard in this city. Dave Young, Sandy Coz and Mattie Williams, wife of former Sheriff R. L. Williams, are parties named in the injunction, Mrs. Willimas, Being designated as the owner of the property.
The state alleges...that the property since January 1, the date when the prohibition law went to effect [NOTE: Date was actualy Jan 20, not the first], has been used for the illegal sale of intoxicants and asked that the wagon yard be closed....
Because of the fact that Dave Young, who was seriously wounded last Monday night, when Sheriff Charles C. Webb was killed, was unable to be in court, the case was continued until next Monday, when it is hope Mr. Young will have sufficiently recovered to be present.
