Emma Jane Sharon Wynn (Publication Unknown) The community was saddened t h is week by the death of its oldest residents, Mrs. H. E. Wynn. Mrs. Wy n n had notbeen well for several years, but her condition was not seriou s u ntil a week before her death. Mrs. Wynn will be greatly missed b y h er friends and neighbors for she knew so well how to be a good frien d a nd a kindly neighbor. The bereaved family have the sympathy of the w ho le community. Obituary: Emma Jane, daughter of Mary Jane and John Sha r on, was born at Cambridge, Ohio, Jan. 18, 1860. She departed this life a t M urray Memorial hospital May 18, 1937 at the age of 77 years, 4 m o nths and 30 days. The deceased grew to womanhood at Cambridge. In 1884 t h e Sharon family located near Paola Kansas. On February 2, 1886 she was u n ited in marriage to Harrison Ellsworth Wynn, the son of her father's b o yhood friend and army comrade. To this union were born six children. T h e young couple located on a farm near Paola. From there they moved to L i nn County and later to Allen County. In 1908 the Wynn family moved to P a wnee County, locating near Garfield. In the fall of 1916, they establi s hed their present home near Copeland. Emma was always active in the Lo r d's Work havingbecome a member of the United Presbyterian Church in ea r ly childhood. As a young mother, she united with the Methodist church n e ar Kincaid. It was in this faith that she passed to her reward. She is s u rvived by her husband and five children. They are Frank F. of Inglewoo d , California, John T. of Copeland, Lena Fay Cragg of Manhattan, Elizab e th Sharon McDowell of Garfield, and Helen Gould Beuttel of Wichita. Ot h er survivors are two brothers J. B. Sharon ofLos Angles, California. C . W . Sharon of Kansas City, MO. And one sister, Mrs. Elizabeth Light of P h eonix, Ariz., sixteen grand-children, and a wide circle of friends. Sh e w as preceeded in death by one daughter, Mary Violet, who passed away a t G arfield at the age of twenty-one years. Two brothers, Franklin F. an d E lmer R and one grand-daughter, Mary Jane Wynn also deceased. Grandmo th er Wynn, as her friends familiarly knew her, lived her life in a c o nsistent, steadfast faith that testifiied to her deep religious experi e nce. She was always a good friend and neighbor, but first of all a m o ther in all things that the name Mother implies.
