Homer and Leota announced they had been married a month, which was news , b utnot surprising, as they had been dating for some time. They were m ar ried in Burlington, Kansas, on March 10, 1934, accompanied by their g o od friends Gladys and Norman. I believe they stayed awhile with the fo l ks, and that was mostcomforting at that time, with the loss of our bro t her (walter mitchell wynn d. 4/1934) Nearly two years later, Homer and L e ota had lost their baby, stillborn. They were living on a farm w e st of Lone Elm. Their crops were ruined and so they returned, to make t h eir home in the north part of the folks house, for a while. (1938) Hom e r and Leota, with baby Veda Jo were living on Leota's family pla c e north of Colony KS. Leota had attended school near by, now they were b a ck, farming the land. Mr. Wynn, a reti r ed farmer and construction supervisor, was born in Bayard, Kan. on Jul y 2 3, 1911,and had lived in Blue Mound, Kan. On March 10th, 1934, he ma rr ied Leota Ensley in Burlington, Kans. She died in 1998. Surviving: a s o n, Kevin, Fort Scott, Kan.; five daughters, Veda Saltamachio, Apple Va l ley, Calif. , Karen Briggs, Osage City, Kans. Sheryl Jackson, Desoto, K a ns (this is an error Sheryl Jackson lives in Desoto, Texas) Doris Moom , S t. Joseph (MO), and Kathy Baltajy,Orlando, Fla. Two sisters, Ruby Br ow er, Iola, Kans. and Hazel Perry, McAllen, Texas; 13 grandchildren; an d 1 4 great grandchildren. Service: 2 p.m. today, Federated Church, Blue M o und.
