The Burial site for Joseph McCotter of Pamlico County has yet to be fou n d by any of my cousins....we are still looking...all I have is the Dea t h Certificate and Autopsy report....He was shot by the family slaves j u st after the Emmancipation Proclamation....as they were stealing the f a mily Boat from the Landing at McCotter's Hammock.
