Robert Lewis Kirkpatrick was born 11 January 1934 in Monroe County, Mississippi. On 3 July 1960 he married in Starkville, Mississippi, Ann Marie Ragland, daughter of Dr. H. and Thelma (Mosley) Ragland, who was born 1 July 1936 in Starkville, Mississippi.
There were two (2) children born of the marriage.
The Sun Herald, Biloxi, Mississippi, May 28, 2003: Robert L. Kirkpatrick, 69, died May 22, 2003 at his home in Wildwood, Missouri. He is survived by his wife, Anne Ragland Kirkpatrick, daughters, Susan Bogard and Virginia Ware, both of Biloxi, Mississippi; brother Tom (Judy) Kirkpatrick of Jackson, Mississippi, and his sister-in-law Mary (David) Hoxie of Tombull, Texas. Bob graduated from Starkville High School, served in the United States Marine Corps and received degrees from St. Louis University of Missouri at Columbia. He retired from Frances Howell School District in 1986. There will be a memorial visitation from 4:00 to 6:00 P.M. Friday, May 30 at the home of Margaret and Joe Tom Mosley on Talley Ho Road in Starkville. In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Missouri Botanical Gardens, P.O. Box 299, St. Louis, MO, 63166; Nature Conservancy, 3800 South Brentwood Blvd., St. Louis, MO., 63144, or to a charity of choice.
