Peggy Annette Kirkpatrick was born 12 December 1927. On 6 March 1947 she married Robert Cuthbert Jones, the son of Lawrence Cuthbert and Queena (Robinson) Jones, who was born 5 December 1923.

Daily Mountain Eagle, Jasper, Alabama, August 1, 2006: Peggy Kirkpatrick Jones, 78, of Parrish, died Monday, July 31, 2006, at Brookwood Medical Center. Funeral services will be held at 5 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 3, at Kilgore-Green Funeral Home with burial in Oak Hill Cemetery. The Rev. Scott Slayton, First Baptist Church of Parrish, will officiate. Visitation will be from 4 until 5 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Kilgore-Green Funeral Home will direct. Mrs. Jones was preceded in death by her husband, Robert C. Jones; daughter, Laurie Jones; father and mother, August and Adah Kirkpatrick; brothers, Jack Kirkpatrick and Dude Kirkpatrick; and sisters, Doris Myers and Dorothy Brakefield. She is survived by her son, Bob Jones and his wife, Gale, of Parrish; grandchildren, Kristi Davidson and her husband, Matthew, and Mandy Jones and her fiancee´, Trey Reynolds, all of Parrish, and Joshua Jones and his wife, Callie, of Burleson, Texas; great-grandchildren, Corey Davidson and Seth Davidson, both of Parrish; brother, Roy Kirkpatrick and his wife, Pat, of Marietta, Ga.; sister, Bettye McGee of Jasper; many nieces and nephews; and many friends.
