Waymon Eugene ("Dude") Kirkpatrick was born 21 September 1925 and died 3 December 1960 in Franklin County, Alabama. On 31 August 1949 he married Betty Jo ("BJ") Miller, who was born 31 January 1930, daughter of Emmett Jones and Willie (Loveless) Miller.

From Find-A-Grrave.com: Waymon Eugene Kirkpatrick was known as "Dude" by his family and friends. He was the son of August and Ada Blanton Kirkpatrick and was born in Walker Co in the Providence community outside of Jasper. He served in the Navy in WWII and afterwards married Betty Jo "BJ" Miller. They settled in Russellville where Dude worked for his father-in-law. Dude died suddenly of a heart attack at age 35. He and BJ had three sons, Joe Miller Kirkpatrick, Richard Eugene "Ricky" Kirkpatrick and John August Kirkpatrick.
