The Spokesman-Review, Spokane, Washington, Thursday, February 19, 2015: Kirkpatrick, Elsie C. (Age 96) My loving mother passed into heaven to be with God on Monday, February 16, 2015. She was born on May 3, 1918 in Seven Mile Ford, VA and moved to Opportunity, WA when she was 11 months old. She lived on a farm until she met and married Roy Kirkpatrick. They lived in Veradale, WA for over 75 years. Mother was a member of the Spokane Valley Baptist Church. She was the oldest member and an active participant. My parents owned Appleway Furnace and Kirk's TV where she was the secretary. She is survived by her daughter, Janice (John) Cael; grandson, Todd (Jody) Cael; granddaughter, Chris Cael; four great-grandchildren; and three great-great-grandchildren; her sister, Nadine Blumer; a nephew and a cousin. A special thank you to Brookdale Assisted Living for making my mother so happy. A memorial service will be held Friday, February 20, 2015 at 1:00PM, at the Spokane Valley Baptist Church, 1222 S. McDonald Rd., Spokane Valley, WA. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made the Spokane Valley Baptist Church.
