Spokesman-Review, Spokane, Washington, February 1, 2004: Memorial service for Roy E. Kirkpatrick, 85, will be Monday at 1 p.m. at Spokane Valley Baptist Church. Thornhill Valley Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements. Mr. Kirkpatrick, who died Wednesday, was born in Spokane. He graduated from Rogers High School in 1938 and served with the 116th Air National Guard. Mr. Kirkpatrick worked for the Aluminum Co. of America and the War Man Power Commission. He owned Appleway Furnace and later operated Kirk's TV Repair for 30 years. He enjoyed fishing and hunting. Survivors include his wife of 64 years, Elsie; a daughter, Janice Cael; two grand children and four great-grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to Spokane Valley Baptist Church or Horizon Hospice.
