The Oregonian, Portland, Oregon, March 19, 1997, Sunrise Edition, Page B07: A funeral will be at 1 p.m. Thursday, March 20, 1997, in Hillsboro Church of the Nazarene for Robert L. Merrill, who died March 15 at age 82. Mr. Merrill was born Nov. 4, 1914, in Centerville, Kan. He moved to Oregon in 1943, settling near Hillsboro. He worked for a feed mill, Industrial Air Products, Bird's Eye Cannery and Pacific Adhesives. He retired in 1980 as materials manager for Tuality Hospital. He was a member of the church. Survivors include his wife, Orpha ''Evelyn''; stepson, Carroll E. Williams of Portland; stepdaughter, Patricia A. Wells of Detroit; brothers, Roy of Gunnison, Colo., Clyde of Garnett, Kan., and Glen of Parker, Kan.; 11 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren. Interment will be in Skyline Memorial Park. The family suggests remembrances to his church or Tuality Community Hospital Volunteer Auxiliary. Arrangements are by Bronleewe-Bass Funeral Home.
