Cedar Rapids Gazette, Cedar Rapids, Iowa, Friday, April 26, 1963: William Joseph Carmody, 1559 Park avenue SE, a Cedar Rapids resident 50 years and a retired district manager of the Nash Automobile Co., died Friday following a long illness. He was born March 24, 1876, at Lancaster, Wis., and was married to Bessie Kirkpatrick Nov. 7, 1921, in Cedar Rapids. Surviving are his wife, four sisters: Mrs. John Carmody of Mount Hope , Wis., Lucy Ahasay of Shell Lake, Wis., Teresa Lyons and Mrs. Charles Frahm, both of Chicago, and a brother, Leo Carmody of Stockton, Calif. Services: Immaculate Conception church at 9 Monday by Msgr. William A. Roach. Burial at Lancaster. Friends may call at the Turner chapel, where the Rosary will be recited at 7:30 p.m. Sunday by Msgr. Roach.
