Ralph William Gillham was born 15 February 1900. On 28 November 1923 Ralph married Willmith Criswell, who was born 25 July 1904 and was the daughter of Edgar and Addie (Boyer) Crisell of Waverly, Morgan County, Illinois. In 1965 she was the secretary to Dr. Vernon Caine, President of Illinois College in Jacksonville, Illinois. Ralph was an invalid for many years prior to his death; no children were born to the marriage.
