Millard Filmore Wayland

Funeral services were held at 10 o'clock this morning from the Boulston & Harford Funeral home for the late Millard F. Wayland, 73-year-old native son of California who passed away Thursday evening at 6 o'clock at the home of his brother, E. H. Wayland, at the Four Mile Place west of Hemet. Rev. Elias Jones, pastor of the First Presbyterian church of Hemet officiated at the service and interment was made in the Valley cemetery. Mr. Wayland's home was at Perris, where he and his son have lived for the past seven months, but he had been at the home of his brother here for 10 days prior to his demise. Born July 1, 1856, in Santa Rosa county. Mr. Wayland had spent most of his life in California. A few years ago he moved to New Mexico, and last June he and a son [purchased ranch property at Perris. He is survived by two sons, frank of Perris and Benjamin B. of Portland, Ore., and by two brothers, E. H.. Wayland of Hemet, and James Wayland of Alamogardo, N. M.
