John Calvin "Johnnie" Finley

Finley, 85, long-time Columbia river fisherman, will be Wednesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Colonial mortuary. Mt. Tabor lodge No. 42, AF&AM, of which he was a member, will participate. Cremation will be at Lincoln Memorial park. Mr. Finely, whose home was at 2115 S. E. 11th avenue, died Saturday at a local hospital. He was born in Kansas August 12, 1871, coming to Oregon 42 years ago. He fished many years around Ilwaco and Astoria with the Lower Columbia River Packers association. Surviving are five children, Benjamin M. Finley and Mrs. Winifred B. McCasland, Denver; Mrs. N. Gladys Lehman, Portland, and John C. Finley, Jr. and P. B. Finley, Vancouver; 9 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren and 2 great-great-grandchildren. [Photo of John with obituary].
