Alma Florence Davis was born 6 July 1878 in Marceline, Linn County, Missouri, and died 13 March 1962, in Burwell, Garfield County, Nebraska. After graduation from high school, she taught school for one year, and then for several years, together with one of her sisters, she operated a hat shop. In 1912 she moved to Burwell, Nebraska, where in 1915 she married Walter S. Green as his second wife. She was a member of the Assembly of God Church.
