Briggs 80, of San Ramon will be at 1:30 p.m. Monday at Grace Baptist Church, San Leandro. She died Monday at Kaiser Hospital, Walnut Creek. The retired secretary had worked for the Alameda County Health Department 10 years. She was born in Roanoke, Va., and had lived in San Leandro before moving to San Ramon five years ago. She was a member of Grace Baptist Church in San Leandro. Her husband, Hershel Briggs, died in 1956. Surviving are her daughter, Kathleen Seronello of San Ramon; sons, Roger Briggs of Santa Rosa and Trevor Briggs of Turlock; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. Arrangements are by the Pittsburg Funeral Chapel. The family suggests contribution to the American Diabetes Association, 1372 N. Main St., Walnut Creek 94596.
