Posted at findagrave.com: Leonard McCance, age 66 of Cozad, passed away July 3, 2014 at Cozad Community Hospital. Leonard was born April 9, 1948 at North Platte, Nebraska to Ward and Anne (Cunningham) McCance . He grew up in North Platte. On February 23, 1973, Leonard married Vicki Pearson in Hastings, NE. The couple moved to Cozad where Leonard worked at Monroe Auto. He later went to work for Walker Roofing out of Lexington. He also worked as a maintenance man at the westbound I-80 rest stop between Lexington and Cozad. Leonard enjoyed fixing things and was a music lover. He was a very kind hearted and generous man. Survivors include his daughter, Misty McCance of Arvada, CO; a son Michael McCance of Lexington; 3 grandchildren, Briana McCance of Arvada, Kevin McCance of Fremont and Christian McCance of Lexington; and brother Richard (Vera) McCance of Cozad. Leonard was preceded in death by his wife Vicki in 2010, his parents and 2 brothers, Dean and Frank. Cremation was chosen and per Leonard's request, there will be no services. Berryman Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
