Born in Denton, Mr. Kirkpatrick was a Panhandle resident for over 50 years. he was a longtime member of the Amarillo business community and was a retired U. S. Postal supervisor. He was a World War I veteran, a charter member of the Polk Street United Methodist Church and the McDavid Sunday School Class. Survivors include his wife, Laura; a son, Charles of Denver, Colo.; a daughter, Mrs. Harold C. Grave of Amarillo, and a grandson.
