The Columbian, Vancouver, Washington, Thursday, January 16, 2003: Dorothy A. Throckmorton died Saturday, Jan. 11, 2003, at home. She was 86. Mrs. Throckmorton was born Oct. 7, 1916, in Townsend, Mont., and lived in Clark County 54 years. She retired in 1980 from the Army's 104th Division at Vancouver Barracks. Her husband, Robert, died in 1998. Survivors include one daughter, Joyce Meany of Vancouver; and one sister, Polly Huser of Bremerton, Wash. Mrs. Throckmorton was a member of Vancouver Bridge Club and a former member of Orchard Hills golf club. She enjoyed steelhead fishing, bowling and square dancing. There will be no service. Killingsworth Little Chapel of the Chimes in Portland was in charge of arrangements. Memorial contributions may be made to Kaiser Hospice, 2701 N.W. Vaughn St., Suite 140, Portland, OR 97210.
