Seymour St., Danville, died at 10:08 a.m. Friday, July 7, 1995, at Burlington Medical Center. Born Oct. 17, 1932, in Henry County, he was the son of James William and Sara Bernice Kirkpatrick Berry. On March 22, 1953, he married Vera Katherine Rust in Burlington. Mr. Berry was a U. S. Marine Corps veteran of the Korean conflict. He was a manager for Farm Service Company of Danville. He attend the Danville Baptist Church and was a member of the American Legion Post 52, where he was commander in 1961. Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Sharon Anderson of Danville, Susan Beaty of New London, and Sheila Baumart of Winfield; one sister Marilyn Hampton of Bettendorf; four grandchildren; nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents. Friends may call from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday in Lunning Chapel, where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 8:30 pm. The funeral for Mr. Betty will be at 10 a.m. Monday in Lunning Chapel, with the Rev. Harry Hollingsworth officiating. Burial will be in Aspen Grove Cemetery. A memorial has been established to the Danville Baptist Church and Caps for Kids with Cancer.
