Floyd Morris Crandall

Benton Harbor News Palladium, Benton Harbor, Michigan, Monday, April 20, 1959, Page 10, Col. 2: Floyd M. Crandall, 78, South Park road, Spinks Corners, died at 4:30 a.m. Sunday at his home. He had been in failing health since 1953 and seriously ill since last November. Mr. Crandall was born June 15, 1880, in Sodus township, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Richmond Crandall, pioneer residents of that community. He had been a farmer in the Spinks Corners area all his life. Survivors include three daughter, Mrs. Marshall (Elmira) Slack, of Coloma, Mrs. Harry (Ethel) Metzger, and Mrs. Harlan (Helen) Coleman, both of Benton Harbor; a brother Harlo, of Spinks Corners; four grandchildren, and six great grandchildren. His wife, the former Florence Garland, whom he married Aug. 2, 1919, in Benton Harbor, preceded him in death, Jan. 13, 1953. Friends may call at the Florin funeral home, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Louis Reyner, pastor of the Moore's Corners Evangelical United Brethren church, which Mr. Crandall attended, officiating. Burial will be in Crystal Springs cemetery.
