Patience (Rounds) Quinby Bradbury was a medium sized or more; black hair and dark eyes. Very industrious, a good housekeeper; very mild in temper; very hospitable, the hungry were never turned away from her door. She believed that if she helped the needy she would never want, something seemed to tell her that. She joined the Baptist church wile young, but was not a Calvinist as her father was. Attended meetings for many miles around. Read little besides the Bible
Patience and Jacob moved from Ohio to Illinois in 1827, landed at Natples, Morgan County.

There were eleven (11) children of the marriage.
