Posted at findagrave.com: Byron Garver, 69, was born on 9-5-39 in Caldwell, KS to Arthur & Thelma (Stookey) Garver. He married Nancy Carlson in Manhattan, KS on July 14, 1959. Byron was preceded in death by mother; 2 brothers-in-law; father-in-law. He is survived by 3 children: Rob L. & Paige Garver, Marci L. Garver, Phil & Darla Garver; 7 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren; father; brother & sister & their families; brother-in-law & family; and mother-in-law. He was baptized at 1st Christian Church, Herington, KS. Most recently employed by James Lee Witt Associates, where he was doing post Katrina work in Louisiana when he suffered a stroke in Baton Rouge in May, 2006. Family and friends will gather at Trinity Lutheran Church on Wednesday, June 24th, at 10 AM to mourn, because we are human, and to thank God for the gift of Byron's loving and compassionate life and to celebrate the power of Jesus' resurrection because we are Easter people in life and death.
