Buck, age 85, of 435 West Starin Road, Whitewater, died early December 28, 1988, at the Fairhaven Residential Facility in Whitewater. He was born on June 26, 1903 in Lancaster, the son of John and Linda (Henkel) Buck. He was married to Dorothy E. Enloe on June 12, 1929, in the Little Brown Church of the Vale, Nashua, Iowa. He was a life-long member of the Congregational church-United Church of Christ, Lancaster since 1917, where he served as a deacon and sang in the church choir for many years. He was an associate member in the Whitewater Congregational Church-UCC since 1977.

He retired from the United State Postal Service after many years in 1954. He was then employed at the Memorial Hospital in Lancaster, Wisconsin, retiring in 1970. He has been a resident of Fairhaven since 1977. He is survived by his wife, Dorothy; a son, Gerald (Nancy) Buck at Racine; a daughter, Barbara (A.L.) Raue of Horicon; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Services will be held on Friday, December 30k 1988 at 10:00 a.m. at the Congregational Church-UCC, Whitewater. Committal and burial services will be at 2 p.m. on Friday, at Hillside Cemetery, in Lancaster, Wisconsin. Friends may call from 9:00 a.m. until the time of services on Friday, at the church. Arrangements are being made by Skindingsrude Funeral Home, Whitewater.
